Too good of a mood, let’s go phishing

Have you received your daily phishing email yet? If not, it is probably because I received yours and yours and yours too! They are common and plentiful. Google and the University of Florida has some interesting new research about phishing emails and about when we are most likely to click on them. Google has found that if you are in a good mood, you are more likely to click that phish than if you are in a bad mood.

There is an important human element when it comes to phishing. The research shows we tend to click on more when we are in good moods, possibly showing we are more carefree. We click less when we are grumpy or stressed, possibly showing us as more skeptical and cynical.
