Cybersecurity Professionals See an Increase in Cyber-Attacks

As we have been talking about here, on Security Bytes, there has been an increase in COVID-19 related cyberattacks. Just how much have they increased though? According to DarkReading, 71% of cybersecurity professionals polled have seen an increase in cyberattacks. In addition to this, Check Point and Dimensional Research polled 411 IT and cybersecurity professionals showing that the majority, 55%, of these cyberattacks are phishing emails. Coming in second place at 32% are fake websites promoting COVID-19 information.
