You get data breached once, be prepared to be data breached again
During the RSA Conference, FireEye, a cybersecurity solutions company, released the Mandiant M-Trends 2019 report that shows a few interesting cybersecurity trends. Possibly the biggest news coming from the report is that if a business suffers one data breach they will likely be victim of another as cyber attackers will target that business. Another interesting finding shows that enterprises are improving on the detection time of a data breach, finding breaches 7 days quicker than the previous year.
Reports like should reinforce that cybersecurity needs to be an important part of every business, especially small businesses. Small business are already the number one reporting victims of data breaches and with the new findings, of those who have reported one breach are likely to be victims of a second breach.
