National Cybersecurity Awareness Month Week 3
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and the National Cyber Security Alliance has a theme for each week for the month. This week’s theme is “It’s Everyone’s Job to Ensure Online Safety at Work” which focuses on how cybersecurity is a team effort in ensuring the cyber safety of the business.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. This saying holds true for cybersecurity within the workplace. A small business can spend thousands of dollars on cybersecurity tools, but if its employees are not properly trained all the tools may not be able to prevent a cybersecurity event. Regular training and practicing good cybersecurity habits every day are important tools a small business can use to help prevent cybersecurity events!
