Some ransomware advice
Here at Security Bytes, I talk often on ransomware and deservedly so. Ransomware is still a top threat to small businesses; it can totally paralyze a small business. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency, better known as CISA, has developed several strategies for organizations to help protect themselves. According to CISA the number one thing you can do today is to backup your data, systems images, configurations, and keep these backups offline. If you have been impacted, CISA suggests you should work with an experienced adviser to help recover from the cyber-attack. To help better secure your IT environment, CISA also suggests segmenting your networks, to make it harder for cyber-criminals to move from system to system.
CISA offers great advice for small businesses and for any organization. You can use these strategies within your personal life too.
