Twenty-one percent of consumers do not return after a data breach

Recent survey by PCI Pal asking 2,000 adult consumers across the United States said they would not return to shopping at a business if they suffered a data breach. Eighty-three percent of respondents said they would return shopping after several months of a data breach.

This is a real issue to the success of any business, especially to a small business. A small business losing one fifth of their customers could and most likely would severely hurt the sustainability of the business. Cybersecurity plays a crucial role in the success of a small business. Continuous employee training can play a huge role in the success of protecting the business and its customers!
